VOLUNTEER AT

THE LIBRARY

Volunteers are essential to the Pequot Lakes Community Library. In order to ensure are always able to handle servicing the needs of the community, we are continuously looking for volunteers to assist with day-to-day operations, programs, and other responsibilities.

 

If you are interested, stop by the library during normal business hours Monday-Saturday and ask for a volunteer form, or click here to download the form, fill it out, and then drop it off at the library.

The Pequot Lakes Library receives significant support from charitable donations made to the Friends of the Pequot Lakes Community Library. Donations made to the Friends of the Library are fully tax-deductible.

DONATIONS

 

Important: Because of redecorating the library (paint and carpet) this winter, we are not accepting material donations at this time until February 1, 2020. Thank you so much! 

Update:

The Library will close on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. The Library will reopen on Monday January 20, 2020, at 9 a.m. We will be redecoration, painting, and putting in new carpet. If you are Kitchigami patrons, you can order books online and pick them up at town hall. Thank you!

 

Materials to be donated to the may be dropped off in the library during business hours. Donated materials will either be added to our collection or sold in the Cozy Corner Book Store or July Book Sale, which are important fundraisers for the Friends of the Pequot Lakes Community Library.

We accept the following:

  • Clean books in good condition - preferably printed after 2000

  • CDs

  • DVDs

  • Recorded books on DVD

  • Magazines published within the last 6 months

We DO NOT accept:​

  • Self-improvement or devotional/religious books

  • Old magazines

  • Textbooks

  • Reader's Digest Condensed Books

  • Encyclopedias

  • Books with mold, mildew, food-stains, pages falling out, etc.
